Sharron Lewis-Campbell
First Vice President @Riverside NAACP
Sharron Lewis is an educator and the CEO of Empower You Edutainment, which helps to promote advocacy and self-esteem through poetry, short stories, theatre, dance, and healing circles. As the First Vice President of Riverside’s NAACP, Sharron is the Riverside County NAACP Youth Council Advisor and the recipient of NAACP California State Conference Advisor of the Year, the California Teachers Association Lois Tinson Human Rights Award and the National Education Association Mary Hatwood Futrell Award. Sharron enjoys writing plays that will empower others. The City of Riverside sponsored her original play, Nowhere to Run, about domestic violence and sex trafficking. Through her non-profit, Sharron currently teaches workshops to youth and adults on how to tell their own stories. In addition to writing and directing two plays on Black History, Freedom and Sankofa a Journey of our Past for the Riverside Unified School District.
